Cosmin Haiaș

Cosmin Haiaș (1968, Oradea Romania) is an artist and an automation engineer.

He is interested in discovering ideas through approaching and combining information technology and technological processes with the artistic creation process, ideas that come in line with the value of humanity. Discovering new means of artistic creation by resorting to technological environments and information technology allows him to present ideas about moral human values and to criticize the skirmishes of contemporary society.

Cosmin Haiaș stands at the intersection of art, science, and technology, deconstructing, adding, and transforming in a way that defies conventional boundaries.

His compositions blend diverse techniques and seemingly antagonistic concepts, forming a deeply metaphorical narrative rooted in both artistic and scientific knowledge. As a hybrid figure, straddling the realms of engineering (graduating from the Polytechnic University of Timișoara) and the arts (holding a doctorate in visual arts with numerous national and international exhibitions), Haiaș embodies what Gilles Deleuze termed an “interference of domains,” a practice grounded in coexistence and transdisciplinarity.

Cosmin Haiaș's artistic practice becomes a powerful tool for examining the dynamic intersection of art, science, and technology. Through his multifaceted works, he encourages a reevaluation of perspectives, challenging viewers to engage with the complexities of our interconnected world and prompting a contemplation of our role in shaping its narrative.
